Photographic Restoration Part 1

Over the last few years I have restored and even colorized several vintage photographs from the turn of the last century. Here is a link to some of them

Usually the first step I take is to turn jpegs into Tiffs before processing, but as this photo was large enough to begin with a jpeg is fine.

One method I use to restore lost detail is to tone map the photo, any HDR processor will work. I have used photomatix and have been very happy with it. Here is a link to there site https://www.hdrsoft.com/
